Apulit Island Resort looks out over the clear blue waters of Taytay Bay, Northern Palawan and is the resort often featured in generic photos of the El Nido Resorts because all 50 accommodations are water cottages, built on stilts over the sea and with a private veranda looking outwards into the beautiful cove with dramatic limestone cliffs behind. A beautiful white sand beach, palm trees complete the picture of under-stated luxury in a complete ‘away from it all’ experience.
The 50 Water Cottages combine traditional Filipino architecture and thatched roves with contemporary design and luxury and accommodate up to 2 guests each in a choice of Double or Twin Bed configurations. Loft Water Cottages can accommodate 4 with a Double bed in the loft and 2 days beds on the group floor level. The cottages are built in a group of 30 on the main cove and two groups of 10 on the western cove. All 3 groups enjoy spectacular, relaxing views.
ThYou can snorkel around the house reef and swim with friendly baby black tip sharks or the blue spotted stingrays in Apulit’s Stingray Garden. There are 10 sites close by for scuba diving and you can Kayak around the island, discovering hidden caves or climb up and then rappel down 60 meters from Apulit’s cross. There is al fresco dining at The Clubhouse Restaurant, a massage cabana, marine sports centre and the Octagon Pier, which is used for private parties and weddings.
